Martin Crusius, Swabian Chronicle, 2nd volume, 18th cent. - Third part of the Swabian Chronicle, 6th-12th book, partial edition of a comprehensive Swabian regional history, printed in 2 columns, decorated with woodcut vignettes. Followed by an appendix to the Swabian Chronicle, this is the main work of the Tübingen university professor Crusius (1526-1607). Originally printed in 1595/96 in Latin in three folio volumes and a supplementary volume in Frankfurt am Main. Translated into German in 1733 by Johann Jacob Moser from Stuttgart. He continued the chronicle until 1733 (pp. 485-738). This is followed by Moser's ‘Bibliotheca scriptorum de rebus Suevicis’, a bibliography, and finally an index to both parts of the Swabian Chronicle.Title page missing, with clear signs of age and wear, including creases, stains, discolouration, tears, binding rubbed, bumped and with defects, wormholes, foxing, handwritten underlining in the text.
